Cycling philosophy, a 5th grade viewpoint

19 06 2010

On my daily dog walk today I ran across this folder at the grade school playground down the street.   A journal of a 5th grader but the cover says everything we need to know…..

An entry for you from a Gentleman and a scholar……

“Beauty to me is Eva Mendes.

Ugly is a person who does everything bad, for example George Bush.

Beautiful to me is a Trek Session 88

and ugly is a huge pile of reeking poop.

Beautiful to me is the idea of love, passion and happiness.

Ugly to me is the idea of hate and being mean and bad.”

Well, that pretty much sums it up doesn’t it…….This kid got his act together.

so you have your right to your opinion…….how you think one woman is “hotter” than another is your opinion……ditto for President Bush…..who by the way, rides mtn bikes, so maybe we shoudn’t harsh on him so much……….akin to LeBron James riding a charity ride in Akron, OH after he left town..

Don’t know why you need to muddy the waters here with either diatribe, who cares, we are talking bikes……. as Lance says……..it isn’t about the bike………..but it is about the experience……..

Dude….dude………..

I did not write this. If you had read the blog and had a comprehension level greater than this child you may have understood.

I FOUND THE JOURNAL OF A 5TH GRADE STUDENT NEAR MY HOME. THIS WAS BUT ONE ENTRY THAT WAS WRITTEN IN IT!

I thought it funny and enlightening, that is for someone who is 12 years old to be so infectious about cycling. This gives us hope for the future generations. You, on the other hand makes me scared for the future.

What a great way to judge character and to pick a president for that matter. By whether or not they ride mountain bikes…
